Chapter 3

Aussan was so busy remembering about their first adventure together that he was completely unaware of his father calling him. Han had to walk into his room before his son even noticed him.

"Did a krayt dragon chew your ears off? Dinner!" Han said as he tossed a chunk of bread at his son.

Aussan caught the bread and tossed it over to the desk. Midnight snack. He ran down the hall and into the family room. sitting at one end of the table was his mother, Leia, and his father at the other end. In on of the seats adjacent to Han was the family's closest Wookie friend, Chewbacca. Between Uncle Chewie and his mother was a dark-skinned man dressed in expensive blue robes. Aussan recognized him instantly as former Rebel leader and good friend to his father, Lando Calrissian.

"Mr. Calrissian!" exclaimed Aussan, "I didn't expect to see you here!"

Lando smiled. "How's my favorite son-of-an-gun?"

"I'm great!"

Aussan smiled and sat down between his father and his older sister Tyria. They all had a fine dinner of roasted Bergfruuta and a salad made of local plants. After dinner Aussan helped Tyria clean the dishes.

Tyria Solo was a "beautiful youngster" as Lando put it. Aussan had to admit that he agreed. She was sixteen Standard years of age, with a dark brown hair that flowed like silk down to her shoulder blades that was never dirty. She always wore dresses and other fine clothing. She was almost never seen without makeup. She had that... perfectness that made so many people envy her. She reminded him of those holo-models he had seen on all the big screens the time he had accompanied his father to Coruscant. They had that absolute beauty. And Aussan had thought of them as real, until his father had explained that the images he saw were edited, and often the real person looked nothing like the image at all! His sister was a real beauty, not some holo-edited image.

As soon as he was finished, Aussan ran to his room and closed the door. He pulled out some books from his desk drawer and a sketchbook. They were books about his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker. They were books about his actual story, according to uncle Luke. And the stories were wonderfully detailed tales.

Aussan loved to spend his time reading these books. He opened to page 232 from one of his favorites, The Boy from Tatooine. He loved this part of the story. It was during the Mos Espa pod race. He often times imagined himself as Anakin, trying to pass Sebulba in the final lap, then succeeding and becoming the town hero.

While reading, he opened his sketchbook. Inside was his drawings of his favorite vehicles from the past. He sifted through the images, until he got to the last one. This one was a creation of his own. The ship consisted of his favorite ships. He hadn't figured out a name for it,but he sure was going to.

Unlike most other Tatooian boys, Aussan didn't just draw his dream vehicle, He tried to make it into a reality. He even had most of the parts he needed, thanks to an old Toydarian named Watto.
